Past Work
Targeted Account Recovery Tooling
A production recovery workflow that restored corrupted player accounts individually, avoiding the damage of a full rollback during a live incident.
Incident Pressure
During a live exploit incident, the fastest option would have been a destructive global rollback. That would also have wiped legitimate player progress, so I built a more selective recovery path instead.
Repair Strategy
The workflow identified affected accounts through timestamps and abnormal states, then restored them from safe snapshots while preserving legitimate progress wherever possible.
- -Affected-account detection
- -Targeted rollback logic
- -Per-account repair instead of a full reset
Result
More than 4,000 accounts were recovered while the game stayed live. That made the recovery both safer for players and less destructive for the business.
